Homeless Individuals and families in an unsafe place can call the Safe Harbor helpline. After completing the intake process, they will be connected to a Case Worker who will assess their situation. If eligible, they will be referred to a local shelter, placed in a motel, or provided other assistance that will keep them from living on the street. Our goal is to make sure people are safe, assessed, and provided access to resources.
Safe Harbor is a collaboration between Beaufort County United Way, Zion Shelter, and NC Coalition to End Homelessness Region 12/Inner Banks Committee. Funds for Safe Harbor a generously donated by individuals, churches, local shelters and foundations.
